Instead of a set ticket price, attendees are asked to contribute what they can to support Politics and Prose Bookstore and their virtual event series. They know that everyone has been affected in these trying times, and they will continue to make their programming accessible to all. That said, a suggested contribution of $5, $10, whatever someone can afford, will go a long way to keep their programming—and bookstore—afloat as they are forced to adapt to new ways of business. The other way people can support them is always by purchasing the book at their website at www.politics-prose.com.
About the book
It’s young Misty’s first ballet class, and she can’t wait to audition for one of the lead roles in Coppélia--a ballet about a young couple, a manipulative toymaker, and his beautiful doll. Misty is nervous, but pushes through her fears with the help of an encouraging teacher, supportive new friends, and her powerful love of dance. Inspired by the world-famous dancer’s early experiences in ballet classes, this gorgeously illustrated picture book is an empowering celebration of passion and friendship.
